About

Pelican is a three storey house in the heart of historic Staithes, a picturesque working fishing village within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.  Pelican sleeps 8 (plus cot) in four bedrooms.  It has a lounge and dining room and a well equipped kitchen on the ground floor.  The rear door accesses the courtyard and our path to the start of the harbour walls.  The tidal beck runs right past and beyond into the sea. Stairs to the first floor lead to a bathroom and two bedrooms and then a further flight leads up to the second floor shower room and two more bedrooms.

Pelican is a large seaside house in an idyllic location with many extra comforts.

To create this homely atmosphere we try to ensure we provide you with everything you need.  Have a look at the Pelican Layout to see how the three floors work.  Also have a look at Pelican Comforts where you will see some, not all, of the additional comforts we hope you will enjoy.

In making this a home from home we hope we have added a touch of extra value.  If not then let us know, we’d love to hear your views and make the house even better.  For now we have: Pelican comforts Chilled out – a state of the art Naim Mu-so wireless bluetooth speaker downstairs for you to play your music from your devices (tablet, mobile phone, laptop) via bluetooth. Internet – the village lacks mobile phone coverage and that really is a positive.  Think of it this way, a holiday is for switching off.  Never fear though, at Pelican we have extensive internet coverage and so you can access your email and get on line with your own devices if you choose to. Wake up and smell the coffee, or at any time of day with a Jura bean to cup coffee machine. Alfresco at any time in the sheltered yard, with a view of the beck and Jack’s Cottage. It’s a dog’s life – bring the family pet and we’ll make them welcome with their own bed, bowl and a little doggy treat. DVDs and Games galore… or create your own angle and fish for tea.
