We are regular visitors to Staithes so its beauty and charm is no surprise to us. This is the first time we have stayed at the Pelican House and this was a surprise! Fantastic modern feel with all amenities you could possible want yet with a wonderful homely feel. We used the outside decking area mornings and night – a rare commodity in the village. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.

This cottage is brilliantly positioned, we spent 4 nights in Staithes and never used the car. The house is possibly better equipped than our own, particularly in the kitchen. Everything was provided you could wish for even salt, pepper, oil, soap and washing up liquid ( often missing in rentals) and some lovely welcome gifts. We started the weekend as a group of 9 and it accommodated us all around the table. We will definitely return if we get the opportunity.

Pelican is a wonderful house for any occasion. The owners have really though about what family’s and big groups need and have made sure all bases are covered from fantastic wifi and an excellent Bluetooth music system to board games and an excellent selection of DVDs to a fab highchair and all accessories needed for feeding the youngest member of our party! All the fixtures and fittings in the house are of the highest quality and the decor throughout is beautiful with some fantastic pieces of art. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and there were some lovely welcoming touches that were very much appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pelican to others (in fact, we will be actively doing so…) as it’s a beautiful house in a stunning village with all home comforts that will ensure you have a wonderful break! Thanks so much Emma and family, we will be back!!

Pelican is a truly lovely house in a fantastic location. The owners have thought of everything and it was a delight to stay here. Beautifully decorated rooms, many extras to keep everyone happy: wifi, sky tv, a well equipped kitchen to name a few. The owner provided an excellent information pack including where to park, eat & drink, local sights and maps. There was also a welcome gift waiting for us which went down very well! I will definitely be recommending this property and I also hope to have a return visit sometime soon. Many thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house.

Simply stunning! If you want the elegance and the luxury of a high end quality boutique hotel but crave the privacy and relaxation a holiday cottage gives you – then this is the house for you. My family and I often rent cottages on the east coast and this rental was a treat from my sister-in-law Georgina for our 50th, what a find – the best we have ever stayed in. Perfect location in the heart of the village. Newly renovated, the owners have thought of everything:; high quality fixtures and fittings, well equipped kitchen, Wii, luxury bedding on perfect mattress. They even had left us little gifts to start our stay off well. We were their 1st guests and feel honoured to have been so, but I’m sure we won’t be their last, they made us feel as their home was our home for our stay in Staithes. Once word is out about this lovingly restored diamond it will be hard to find a free date!
