We have had a fantastic weekend at Pelican. From the moment we walked in it felt like home. We were there with another family & between the 8 of us we had ample room. It is clear to see you take pride in your house & what you do. This reflects in the added extras and in all the useful items in the cupboards.
Staithes is a beautiful place to stay & we can’t recommend the Cod & Lobster enough for excellent food & relaxed atmosphere!

Pelican in Staithes is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in,and we have stayed many times. This really is a home from home. There is absolutely everything you would need and more. Beautifully decorated and furnished, we all thought it was lovely. I often peek in windows as we walk around the village and I can tell you nothing compared to Pelican house.We will definitely stay again.

It was a special occasion for us – made all the better as this holiday cottage was just so perfect. You could hear the sea; access coastal walks from the doorstep and stroll to the pubs, so everything felt so easy to enjoy. Inside, the cottage was light and airy, clean and fresh and above all, it was such high spec it filled our heads with possibilities for our own home! Finally, just to say that the attention to detail made our stay feel blissfully stress free, tremendously pampered and leaving us feeling we were in a cottage that is well loved. So thank you, we would love to come back and enjoy the magic again.

Owners description and reviews are all true! Pelican is set in a wonderful location, and for those with young families there would be no reason to go up the hill ever again during your stay! Everything was beautifully presented when we arrived, and beds were comfy after our trips walking, you will get used to the seagulls too. We tried out the two pubs, nice beer in both. We shopped in the local shops, and ate ice cream on the front. We didn’t try a boat trip, but others who did had a great time. It is important to do the beach when the tide is up and down to get the true feel for the place. We had heard Staithes was lovely, and we totally agree, and want to go back now.
